Long cool woman in a black dress - The Hollies (live) with lyrics

Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress" was released on February 1, 1972 as a single on the Parlophone Records label.

(Lyrics)
Saturday night I was downtown
Working for the FBI
Sitting in a nest of bad men
Whiskey bottles piling high
Bootlegging boozer on the west side
Full of people who are doing wrong
Just about to call up the DA man
When I heard this woman sing a song
A pair of 45s made me open my eyes
My temperature started to rise
She was a long cool woman in a black dress
Just-a 5'9, beautiful, tall
With just one look I was a bed mess
'Cause that long cool woman had it all
I saw her heading to the table
Like a tall walking big black cat
When Charlie said I hope that your're able boy
'Cause I'm telling you she knows where it's at
Then suddenly we heard the sirens
And everybody started to run
A-jumping out of doors and tables
When I heard somebody shooting a gun
Well the Da was pumping my left hand
And a-she was a-holding my right
Well I told her don't get scared
'Cause your're gonna be spared
I've gotta be forgiving if I wanna spend my living
With a long cool woman in a black dress
Just a 5'9 beautiful tall
Yeah, with just on look I was a bed mess
'Cause that long cool woman had it all

Don't let me down - The Hollies (subtitled in english and portuguese)

The Hollies were a British band of rock and roll formed in the early 1960s. They were signed by Parlophone in 1963 as co-label of the Beatles, and released their first album in the United States in 1964, during the first wave of British Invasion. They are commonly associated with Manchester, as many of its original members came from the city and surrounding communities.

I'm down - The Hollies (live) with lyrics

(Lyrics)
Shook my head out of dreams reality's calling
The early bird's been up all morning
But I've got no notion of moving from where I am
Though my legs won't move I feel disabled
I'm on a shelf an article labelled
Waiting for someone to fetch me from lost and found

I'm down
No one to hear me calling
I'm down
No one to see me falling
I'm down

Had my ways with days of sunshine
Life came easy it all fell in line
But then again I didn't realize
When you're used to one thing it's hard to accept
Another like the woman who brought you up
She ain't your mother
How do you cope with a thing like that

I'm down
No one to hear me calling
I'm down
No one to see me falling
I'm down

I always thought it was my dad who went to war
Thought it was my sister who fell off the wall
My pseudo brother Billy emigrated long ago
Someone went thru'pain to have me
Someone should know
I'm down
I'm down

Folks who brought me up I'm not ungrateful
Kept the secret from me they thought it was shameful
It hurt me so to be the last one to know
Maybe someone's out there looking for me
Left on their own couldn't afford to clothe me
And I…
I don't even know my real name

I'm down
No one to hear me calling
I'm down
No one to see me falling
I'm down
I'm down
I'm down

He ain't heavy, he's my brother - The Hollies (live) with lyrics

(Lyrics)

The road is long
With many a winding turns
That leads us to who knows where,
Who knows where.
But I'm strong,
Strong enough to carry him.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

So on we go.
His welfare is of my concern.
No burden is he to bear,
We'll get there.
For I know
We would not encumber me.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

If I'm laden at all,
I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart
Isn't filled with the gladness
Of love for one another.

It's a long, long road
From which there is no return.
While we're on the way to there,
Why not share?
And the load
Doesn't weigh me down at all.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

He's my brother.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother...

Make it with you - Bread (1977) live (with lyrics)

David Gates & Bread performing "Make it with you" at Burt Sugarman's The Midnight Special, 1977.

(Lyrics)

Make It with you
Hey have you ever tried,
Really reaching out for the other side?
I may be climbing on rainbows
But, baby here goes.
Dreams they're for those who sleep,
Life is for us to keep,
And if you're wond'ring
What this song is leading to
I want to make it with you
I really think that we can make it girl.
No, you don't know me well,
In ev'ry little thing only time will tell,
If you believe the things that I do.
And we'll see it through.
Life can be short or long,
Love can be right or wrong,
And if I choose the one
I'd like to help me through,
I'd like to make it with you
I really think that we can make it girl.
Baby you know that
Dreams they're for those who sleep,
Life is for us to keep
And if I choose the one
I'd like to help me through,
I'd like to make it with you
I really think that we can make it girl.
